In addition to the installation instructions shipped with the unit these steps are provided for the Dewalt DW718.

1. Locate the fixed depth stop on the right side of the saw as shown.

2. Install the depth stop bracket and tighten gently.

3. Attach the wedge to the laser so the the thick end of the wedge will be towards the glass.

4.Follow the installation instructions that came with the unit to set up the wood and align the laser.
The laser should be mounted as close to the top of the guard plate as possible. Always dry fit the
laser to make sure that the alignment is correct before using the adhesive. Use a marker to mark the alignment of the
laser to the saw so that it will be easier to locate the position again.
