Laser Guide Installation

In addition to the installation instructions these steps are provided.

First attach the B-2 bracket to the right side and the back of the black blade guard. Position the Laserkerf as high as possible on the the bracket.

1.Attach the B-2 bracket to the right side and the back of the blade guard just below the ridge caused by the bottom screw in the dust shut.

2. Position the Laserkerf as high as possible on the the
bracket.

3. If your saw is equipped with dust collector that is attached to the side of the frame instead of the blade guard you will need to move the dust collector
back to allow for the laser.

Laser Guide Installation

In addition to the installation instructions these steps are provided. Attach the B-5 bracket to the left side of the saw as shown.

If the dust chute is being used it must be moved back as shown. Attach the Laserkerf to the bracket as high as possible on the bracket. The beam of the laser should be directly behind the blade. 

To attach the chute make a bracket out of 1/16 AL with three holes in line spaced the same as the two holes in the chute. Place a screw thru the first hole into the right threaded hole.
Place the second screw thru the right hole in the chute and the middle hole in the bracket in to the left threaded hole. Place a nut and bolt thru the left hole of the bracket and chute.

Place the second screw thru the right hole in the chute and the middle hole in the bracket in to the left threaded hole. Place a nut and bolt thru the left hole of the bracket and chute.

 
 
 

Dewalt 718 Installation

In addition to the installation instructions these steps are provided.
 

1. Locate the fixed depth stop on the right side of the saw as shown.

2. Install the depth stop bracket and tighten gently.

3. Attach the wedge to the laser so the the thick end of the wedge will be towards the glass.

4. Follow the installation instructions that came with the unit to set up the wood and align the laser.  The laser should be mounted as close to the top of the guard plate as possible. Always dry fit the laser to make sure that the alignment is correct before using the adhesive. Use a marker to mark the alignment of the
laser to the saw so that it will be easier to locate the position again.

 

Bosch 3915 Laser Guide Installation

In addition to the installation instructions these steps are provided.

1. The Laserkerf is attached to the back of the blade guard as shown.
2. On some unites the mounting area is rounded so we suggest using a B-2 bracket to create a flate surface.

 
 
 

Bosch GCM12SD Axial-Glide Installation

In addition to the installation instructions these steps are provided to give you a visual idea of how the installation will look.

1. Install the B-25 on the back of the middle guard as shown in the picture with the thick end of the wedge that is on the bracket down.

The bracket should be about even with the cutout in the side of the guard. When the laser is o the bracket it should not hit the dust chute when the saw is in the down position.

2. Follow the installation instruction to properly install and align the laser. Your installation should look like the pictures below.

3. Install the switch as shown.

4. Install a wire clip on the top of the the saw near the battery box as shown to hold the power lead and install the battery box as shown.

5. To install the transformer for AC power apply a wire ties to hold the transformer wire to the power cord along the top of the saw. Then connect the transformer to the power lead

 

Horizontal Way Tube Installation

The following instructions are for: Bosch 4410, 4412, GMS 10, Dewalt DW712 and Craftsman 113.234940.

In addition to the installation instructions these steps are provided.
 

1. Attach the W-1 bracket to the laser as shown

2. The slide should be pushed all the way back against the stop. The laser should be mounted so that it does not hit the frame.

3. The following pictures are to assist you in positioning the laser in direct line with the blade per the installation instructions.

Chicago 45885 Installation

In addition to the installation instructions these steps are provided.

1. Dry fit the bracket so that the back of the bracket rests against the curved portion of the middle rib.

2. When you feel comfortable with the position of the bracket remove the tape covering and attach the bracket to the frame.

3. Use these pictures to assist you in positioning the laser so that it is direct line with the blade as referenced to in the installation instructions.

Makita LS1013 Installation

Other Saws: Makita LS1011, Makita LS1013, Makita LS1212, Makita LS1214

The LS1011 uses a B-8 bracket in addition to the W-1 that is used on the other models because the bottom of the LS1011 is not a solid material. Locate the position for teh installation of the W-1 and laser as discribed below. Attach the B-8 bracket to the left side of the frame so that it forms a base to attach the W-1 and laser. See the last picture on this page.

The LS1013 uses a W-1 bracket

The LS 1212 and 1214 uses a W-4 bracket

1. Remove the paper from the adhesive on the laser and attach the W-1 or W-4 bracket to the laser. 

2.Turn the saw 45 degrees to the left and pull it all the way forward.

3. The laser should be just behind the table backstop or about 2.75 inches from the front of the saw support. Mark this position for step 4.

4. Align and install per the miter installation instructions shipped with the unit.

LS 1011: B-8 bracket with W-1 and laser attached.

 

Sears 10" Left Mount Installation

In addition to the installation instructions these steps are provided.

1. The arm that moves the plastic blade guard should be removed and straightened. 

2. A 1/2" spacer needs to be added between the guard arm and threaded hole. A longer bolt is needed to replace the original bolt.

3. Attach the B-2 bracket to the left side and the back of the blade guard just above the rubber dust collector. 

4. Re-install guard arm.

5. Position the Laserkerf at the top of the rubber guard. Align per installation instructions.

 
 
 
 

Dewalt 703 Installation

In addition to the installation instructions these steps are provided.

First attach the B-9 bracket to the left side and the saw as shown. 

The bracket should not hit the Dust defection ring when the saw is tilted at 45 degrees. 

The bracket will be just behind the
saw guard.

The bottom saw guard should not hit the bracket when it closes.

At this point follow the alignment procedure shipped with the unit, please note that the Laserkerf should be positioned as high as possible on the the bracket.

 

Dewalt 770 RAS Installation

In addition to the installation instructions these steps are provided.
 

1. Remove the paper from the adhesive and install the B-14 bracket so that the hole is over the screw. The angle of the bracket should be about level. The kick back can be in or out of the guard but the knob should be tight.

2. Install the laser guide per the alignment instructions.

3. Attach the switch to the top of the guard.

4. Attach one cable clamp to the blade guard as shown

5. With the saw in the back position find a point about 1/3 the way down the slide to mount the second cable clamp. Hold the wire by hand and move the saw from front to back to make sure the the cable is not stretched tight. Attach the cable clamp to this position. 

6. Use the cable ties to attach the Laserkerf power cable to the saw power cable.

 

Delta 36-235 Installation

In addition to the installation instructions these steps are provided.
 

1. Install the B-16 bracket on the left side just below the chip chute

2. Dry fit the Laserkerf just inside the frame. The beam may need to be moved to the right side.

3. Once the installation position is determined remove the tape covering and install the Laserkerf on to the bracket.

 

Delta 36-412 Installation

In addition to the installation instructions these steps are provided.

1. The B-18 bracket is attached to the left side of the upper saw frame just behind the dust chute.


2, Because of a slight curve of the frame, hold the adhesive section of the bracket in position and bend the bracket so that the it is approximately level.

3. Mount the alignment block t the table, per installation sheet, and install laser.

4. The next picture shows the left side of the laser after alignment.

5. You are ready to cut.

 

Delta 36-255/Porter Cable 3802 Installation

In addition to the installation instructions these steps are provided.

To install the Laserkerf it is necessary to remove the current chip chute and support. The B-16 bracket assist the deflection of the chips into the bag

1. First remove the C clip from the rod that holds the chip chute. Remove the rod and chute.

2. Remove the chip chute support bracket

3. Install the B-16 bracket as shown.

4. Position the laserkerf per the installation instructions.

5. Route the cables and secure with the cable clips and ties.

6. Attach the ON/Off switch

 

Sears Craftsman RAS Side Kickback Installation

In addition to the installation instructions these steps are provided.

1. Remove the kickback dogs from the kickback arm
2 Slide the B-15 bracket on to the threaded stud so that the side without a hole is to the left of the kickback.
3. Use the nut from kickback to secure the bracket.
4. Follow the alignment instructions that were supplied with the Laserkerf.

 
 
 
 

Hitachi C10FS/C12FSA Installation

In addition to the installation instructions these steps are provided.

1. Remove the chip shut from the base.
2. Remove the 4 screws at the back of the aluminum

3. Gently spread the two haves apart and remove the plastic deflector inside.

4. Cut the top square portion of the deflector off a about a 45 degree angle. This is to allow the laser beam to have clearance.

5. Re-assemble the chip shut and install it into the saw base.

6. Attach the W-1 bracket to the laser as shown

7. The slide should be pushed all the way back against the stop. The laser should be mounted so that it does not hit the frame.

Rear Mount 1 

Models: Hitachi C10FC & C2, Makita LS1020, Protech 7208

In addition to the installation instructions these steps are provided.
 

1. The set up of the saw shown is representative of all the saws listed above. 

2. Clean the area on the back of the dust chute with alcohol or mineral spirits.

3. Remove the cover of the adhesive from the B-2 bracket and press the adhesive to the side of the blade guard as shown.

4. Find the correct position to mount the laser by placing the laser
directly behind the blade, see installation instructions, so the the beam hits the divot in the wood.

5. Remove the adhesive cover and stick the laser the bracket.

6. Horizontal adjustment is on left side.

7 Align the laser per the instructions included with the Laserkerf.

 

Hitachi Model C12FDH Installation

In addition to the installation instructions these steps are provided.
 

The laser should be mounted as high as possible on the back of the dust chute. 

As you can see when the saw is in the down position there is very little clearance. 

3. Once the installation position is determined remove the tape covering and install the Laserkerf on to the bracket.

 

Makita LS1211 Installation

In addition to the installation instructions these steps are provided.
 

Remove the backing from the adhesive strips and mount the B-17 bracket to the saw as shown.

Attach the Laserkerf to the W-1 bracket as shown.


Although the picture at the top shows the laser is mounted off center on the W-1 bracket it should be mounted square on the bracket.

Using the installation instructions that come with the Laserkerf install the bracket and Laserkerf

 

Pro-Tech CS72121 Installation

In addition to the installation instructions these steps are provided.

The Laserkerf is attached to the rear blade guard as shown.

 
 
 
 

Ridgid MS1250 Installation

In addition to the installation instructions these steps are provided.
 

1. Remove 1/2 of the protective covering of 1 of the 2 pieces of tape on the bracket.
2. Place the bracket on the saw approximately as shown.
3..Move the saw down and make sure that the bracket. do not hit anything. Turn the saw to 45 degrees and move the saw down to check or clearance. If the bracket hit anything adjust the bracket.

4. Mark the position of the bracket and remove it from the saw. Remove the remainder of the tape covering.
5. Re-attach the bracket at the marks made in step 4. 
6. Remove the backing from the tape on the Laserkerf and position the laser at the top of the bracket so that the laser beam is directly behind the blade, the alignment instructions will show you how to do this.

 

Ridgid MS1060 Installation

In addition to the installation instructions these steps are provided.
 

1. Install the B-13 bracket to the inside of the frame as shown.

The bottom curved edge of the bracket should align with the curved edge of he frame.

2. Mounted the laser as high as possible on the back of the bracket. 

3. Align per the alignment instruction that come with the Laserkerf.

 

Ryobi TS1550 Installation

In addition to the installation instructions these steps are provided.
 

1. Remove 1/2 of the protective covering of 1 of the 2 pieces of tape on the B-6 bracket.
2. Place the bracket on the saw approximately as shown.
3 . Hold the laser on the back of the bracket and move the saw down and make sure that the bracket and laser do not hit anything. Turn the saw to 45 degrees and move the saw down to check or clearance. If the bracket or laser hit anything adjust the bracket.

4 . Mark the position of the bracket and remove it from the saw. Remove the remainder of the tape covering.
5 . Re-attach the bracket at the marks made in step 4.
6. Follow the instalation instructions to align the laser.

 

Sears Craftsman Left Side Mount

In addition to the installation instructions these steps are provided.
 

1. The B-16 bracket is mounted on the left side approximately as shown
2. Attach the Laserkerf to the bracket as high as possible.

3. The laser beam should be directly in line with the blade.

4. Be careful to position the wire not to be pinched, us the wire clamps provided to hold the wire.
